Welcome to Pathfinder Society Organized Play!

On Golarion, the world of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, the Pathfinder Society is an organization of explorers, vagabonds, sages, and treasure hunters determined to plumb the depths of the darkest tombs, and collect relics and lore from bygone ages. Every member shares one common dream: to contribute to the Pathfinder Chronicles, printed editions of secret lore coveted by the Society wherein only the most impressive finds and bravest exploits of the Pathfinders are immortalized.

Pathfinders are a diverse bunch of scoundrels and wanderers. Their loyalties lie on all shores of the Inner Sea, and beyond their adventures as Pathfinders, they often find themselves mixed up in the murky politics of Absalom and the nations who seek to control the City at the Center of the World from behind the scenes. The campaign centers on the sprawling city of Absalom, where factions engage in a shadow war for control of the city’s politics and economy.

In Pathfinder Society Organized Play you play a member of the Pathfinder Society, seeking fortune and glory all over the face of Golarion. At the same time, your character works for one of the competing factions, all with their own motivations and secret agendas.

Humanity must work together if they are to have any hope of survival…but how can they, when any of them may, in fact, be a Cylon agent?

Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game is an exciting game of mistrust, intrigue, and the struggle for survival. Based on the epic and widely-acclaimed Sci Fi Channel series, Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game puts players in the role of one of ten of their favorite characters from the show. Each playable character has their own abilities and weaknesses, and must all work together in order for humanity to have any hope of survival. However, one or more players in every game secretly side with the Cylons. Players must attempt to expose the traitor while fuel shortages, food contaminations, and political unrest threatens to tear the fleet apart.

Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game is a semi-cooperative game for 3-6 players ages 10 and up that can be played in 2-3 hours.

The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game is a cooperative adventure game in which the players attempt to complete a scenario, each with three heroes of their choice and a deck of allies, events and attachments to support them. Each round, players send their heroes and allies to quest or to fight with enemies that engage them. However, as the heroes and allies exhaust after questing, defending, or attacking, the players’ options are typically insufficient to deal with everything at once. Therefore, players need to determine whether it is more urgent to quest and make progress in the scenario while the enemy forces gain power, or to take down enemies while making no progress, not knowing what will come next.

The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game is the base game of a Living Card Game for which new adventure packs are released monthly. The base game contains three scenarios, twelve famous characters from the works of J.R.R. Tolkien (including

We will be running a mixture of short interactive demos, character creation sessions and full scenarios. Please register your interest at www.warhorn.net/perthfinder

Whether it is a part of this world or a creation of something entirely new, post-apocaytic worlds need to be believable to draw the reader in. What are some of the ways you can build this world and make it convincing enough to ensnare your readers?

How to run a Swancon

Venue: Goldsworthy North
Tag: Real World
Ends: 14:00

So, you’re wondering how the magic happens – how does a SwanCon come together? It all starts with an idea (and not always a good one!). Deciding you’d like to run a SwanCon is the easy part. How do you get from that initial idea, to a successful bid and finally to a convention? Learn from our panel of previous and current SwanCon committee members.

The Entropy Crisis

Venue: Goldsworthy South
Tags: Real World, SCIENCE!!!!
Ends: 14:00

The entropy crisis is linked to the energy crisis and climate change at a deeper level of understanding. Every action we take increases the amount of disorder in the world. The 3 laws of thermodynamics say we can not win, break even or leave the game.

The only thing we can do is use less of everything. In other words minimise the rate at which energy is used and therefore the rate at which entropy increases.

Ends: 15:30

We will be running a mixture of short interactive demos, character creation sessions and full scenarios. Please register your interest at www.warhorn.net/perthfinder
